Pastor Wendell and his wife, Lisa, are proud natives of Portland, Oregon. At 27, after experiencing a profound “God dream,” Wendell took a leap of faith, leaving his banking career to serve as an associate pastor of Mt. Olivet's student ministries. In a spirit of obedience, he, along with Lisa and their three young children, relocated to Ponce, Puerto Rico, becoming the first full-time missionaries from Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in partnership with Ambassadors Fellowship. They later founded Reaching the Nations, a non-profit mission outreach focused on East and West Africa.
In 2009, Wendell and Lisa transitioned to Atlanta, Georgia, where Wendell joined The 410 Bridge, an international Christian development organization. During his five years as the U.S. Program Director for Haiti and Honduras, he played a vital role in advancing the organization's mission. In 2017, they returned to the Pacific Northwest, where Wendell served as the Senior Program Officer for Forward Edge International, overseeing child-focused community development programs in Haiti, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
Currently, Wendell is the Senior Pastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, affectionately known as “The Mount.” He is also the author of Kingdom Moments, a revivalist, visionary, and strategic thinker, proficient in both Spanish and English.
Together, they continue to seek a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit in this generation!
